"Amelia was a loyal friend and a wonderful companion. She loved to take her walk around the block and see what everyone was doing. When it got too hard for her to walk her Dad took her for a "big ride" and she loved it! "

"As for Gumbo, I miss him so much. He was my faithful friend for 13-1/2 years and I couldn't have asked for a better dog. As for some words about him, my friend (and Gumbo's friend) Norm really said it best: "His greetings and reactions could erase the exasperations, disappointments, and irritations of the day. He was a beam of sunshine."

Sadie: (Feb. 12/95 - Nov. 28/08
Sadie, my beloved Dalmatian, passed away from a stroke on Novmber 28, 2008 at 11:30am. She was almost 14 years young and had been my faithful companion since she was 7 weeks old. I still remember picking her out of her litter. All the puppies were jumping up and down and were barking, whereas Sadie just sat quietly in the back posing and cocking her head from side to side. You could immediately see the intelligence in her eyes. I knew right there and then I had found my own RCA dog. That posing and head tilting continued throughout her life and I feel very blessed to have countless beautiful pictures of her. Another striking difference between Sadie and her littermates was in her weight, she was much more solid and robust than the others. This too turned out to be an asset throughout her life. Sadie was my faithful running companion for over 12 years, getting up at 5am on most mornings to run anywhere from 5 to 20 miles. She would jump out of bed and be ready at the front door as soon as the alarm went off in the morning. we did a lot of hiking, mountain climbing, and of course her favorite thing in the world, swimming. Sadie was obsessed with swimming. When we lived in British Columbia, she would swim in the frigid water of the Pacific North West in the middle of the winter. People would often comment on how cold she must be, but she loved it. I remember making her a promise that we would one day move somewhere where she could swim in the warm ocean. I was never happier than the day I fulfilled that promise and we arrived in Melbourne Beach, FL. As a matter of fact, one of my best memories was our road trip from Seattle to Melbourne Beach; we had quite an adventurethe two of us. She was a great traveling companion, never criticizing my driving, always agreeing with my choices of hotels and restaurants; she was just happy to be next to me. When we arrived, she made a beeline for the ocean and she knew she was in paradise. I am glad this is where she lived her last few years.

"Snuggles was a cute, warm, fuzzy and gentle spirit. Like her name, she gave us a lot of snuggles and love. We will miss her greatly. We hope you are in a beautiful and safe place where you can rest and play with other heavenly bunnies."
